TDP Oracle backs up to tape instead of designated disk pool

This is driving me nuts.



We have a number of RMAN backups that when they backup, they go directly to tape.



We don't have any policies or management classes that are set to go first to Tape, Everything is set to go to Diskpool first.



Is there something that overrides this in the TDP Oracle Package?



If it matters, this is a TSM 5.3.2.0 Server on AIX using an IBM 3684 library.

* The tapepool could be specified in the dsm.opt/dsm.sys as an include statement. (method we use, something like "include /.../* tape")

* There could be the max_size on the disk storagepool.

thanks for the reply.... we are not overriding in the sys file but the comment about max on the diskpool might be an issue.

Turns out this is a bug in the version of TSM we are running. We are going to update next week to take care of it.

What version did you upgrade to?



I currently have a similar issue, backup sessions going to tape intead of disk, disk stg max size limit is "no limit". I'm at 5.3.3
