Networker Adding Client Error - Client does not support remote operation

Hi,

We are having an error when adding client.

The error message - "Client does not support remote operation"

Below are the detail

Networker Server - NW 7.6 SP4 - Windows 2003 SP2
Networker Client - NW 7.0 - HPUX 11.11

Hi Sri,

check compatibility. I am pretty sure 7.6.4 Server is only compatible with clients above 7.3 or even 7.4.

Thanks for the response.

Now I have upgraded the client to 7.3.2 but Im still getting the same error.
Is there any other workaround?

First i do not understand why you do install 7.3.2 which is at least 5? years old. It should not be a problem to use the same version as your NW server.
If in doubt, please refer to the "Software Compatibility Guide".

One mandatory requirement is that the client must support remote procedure calls. It looks as if this is not available for whatever reason.

Despite the other standards like unique name resolution, you should test the connection from the server with this command:

nsradmin -p nsrexec -s <nw_client>

If you receive a prompt, all should be fine.
