Moving an HSM filespace to new storage/server
I have an older server (Windows Server 2008, 64 bit) that has four LUNS's that have been spanned together to make one large 7 TB Drive. That drive also has HSM running against it.
I need to migrate this server to new hardware and storage (especially the storage), and I'm not sure how to do that.
I can present new storage to this server... Can I shut down HSM, move the data (mix of stub files and unmoved data) and change the drive letters, and restart HSM? Or is it more complicated?
And does anyone know how to migrate an HSMed volume to a new server?
