New TS3100 tape library
We have just purchased a new IBM TS3100 tape library with 2 x LTO5 tape drives. All the pre-configuration work is done and the device zoned into out fibre fabric. The TSM server can see the new drives so I just need to know how to get TSM to recognise the device. Our TSM Server runs Windows 2008 Server SP1 and we currently use a Quantum PX506 library which will eventually be removed. Any one know how to configure TSM to see the new library and drives ?

First make sure you have the device drivers from IBM installed. You can check this in the windows device manager.
Then go to the \console directory and run the TSMDLST.EXE file and it will return the names you need.
Then using either the command line or the GUI (the GUI is easier as it puts the paths in automatically) go to Storage and Create a Library. Follow throught the steps and add the tape drives and everything will be defined.
