TransErrno: Unexpected error from open, errno = 62
Hello,
Backups are failing on a node with the following error:
08/05/12 23:01:11 TransErrno: Unexpected error from open, errno = 62
08/05/12 23:01:13 ANS1028S An internal program error occurred.
08/05/12 23:01:13 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'DAILY_INCR1' failed. Return code = 12.
I have seen a couple of other threads relating to TransErrno (albeit with different error codes) that have not seen resolution. Does anyone have any idea where to start looking to resolve this?
Platform: Linux86
Client OS Level: 2.6.26-2-
Client Version: Version 5, release 5, level 0.0

There are several IBM ICs regarding TransErrno. Maybe you want to update your TSM client first to the most recent 5.5 maintenance level.

sorry if this sounds stupid bu what do you mean ICs?
I have seen a few other articles and threads but relating to TransErrno but they all seem to relate to other errno values or are inconclusive.
Was hoping to avoid it but I guess client update is they way to go
thanks anyway!

I would highly recommend to update your client. Any x.x.0.0 versions usually contains a log of bugs. Its easier to do an upgrade and then troubleshooting instead of troubleshooting a version which has a lot of know bugs with TransErrno.
