Changing filespace name

Is it possible to remount a filesystem on the same client and rename the filespace such that

/filespaceA/directoryB ( filespace=/filespaceA )

becomes

/directoryB ( filespace= /directoryB )

and preserve all the backup/archive data from /filespaceA/directoryB

By saying 'remount' do you mean restore?

If you meant 'restore' you can restore to any location and directory you want except that you cannot, obviously, change the file name.

No by remount I have moved data from one disk to another disk on the client but want to change the directory mountpoint but keep the TSM backup/archive data including the inactive versions. In the simple case of say on clientA
ummounting /filespaceA and mounting as /filespaceB I can "dsmadmc rename files clienta /filespaceA /filespaceB"
but cannot figure at the moment how to remname the filespace as described in the original post

See 'help rename filespace' - this help will give you the right syntax.

Essentially, you have to enter the full paths of the filespaces you want to rename to.
