Expire Inv for unavailable tapes
Dear all,
i have data on tapes i dont want to lose when i run expire inv because i want to keep them after the retention period specified, do you think if i put them unavailable it would prevent the tsm from deleting the data?

TSM never deletes data from tapes. Expiration just deletes the references in TSM database. After expiration you have not a chance to recover data from tape. You can just restore a TSM db backup.
--> You need to change the retention for these data.
