Question How to reduce 12.8GB recovery log (now TSM is still running fine)

    Dear all

The TSM server is running fine now but................
We have a TSM 5.5.3 server that currently has a recovery log size of 12.8GB.
We use DB backup trigger to avoid the filling of the recovery log to a max.

However since we cannot extend the log (only 200MB??) and since staff does not
keep track of DRM (getting scratch tapes for DB backup for instance) we know that
the log will be full one day...... and then......??

Therefor to avoid that and to have the option to extend the log when in need, we want to
reduce the log now we still can.

How to do that with a 12.8GB logfile?????

    Default

How is your LOG pool setup:

    - how many volumes makeup the LOG pool?
    - what are the sizes of the volume?
    - are the volumes mirrored?

do a 'q logvol f=d' and post it
