    Default Expire Inventory Problem

I have a TSM server where EXPIRE INVENTORY was doing nothing for days, so I canceled the process and now that hung too. Anyone see this kind of behavior?

Server is AIX 6.1 with TSM Server 6.2.4

    Sorry Chad,

I haven't seen this before - it might require a maintenance patch.

There has been a decent amount of recent defect activity in the expiration area. I'd try using the new V6 expiration options to skip the particular node it was stuck on to see if that helps any. What was the node and filespace it was processing? Windows system state?

My problem is I can't tell which node it was stuck on. Tivoli support says I need to use the skipdirs option. Not sure if it will help. I am still waiting for a time I can restart the instance. What a mess.

    skipdirs might help.

The actlog messaging should tell you the last node and filespace it started processing.
