Devclass change with a Data Domina VTL
So where I work they setup their Data Domain VTL to use LTO3 with 100GB capacity so reclamation would be faster. I was wondering if there would be adverse affects to changing the devclass capacity to 200GB or larger so I wont keep running out of scratch. (Data Domain and TSM have a volume limit in the library unless at a version I am not yet at).

I also work in a DD environment.
There should be no adverse effect other than the next time it creates a new volume, it will be the larger ones. The size has nothing to do with how DD handles file storage.Ed
