Image Backup - Mgmt Class
Hi,
I had a client with millions of constantly changing tiny little files. It would take days to back up tried JBB but with little improvement.
Long story short Image Based Backup is cutting 40 hr backups to 11 hrs.
However - I'm trying to figure out how to apply the proper management class to the images so only one version is kept but it doesnt work.
if anyone knows how to configure this i would appreciate the help.
Thanks!

Can you edit your post use the "code" tag......... [ code ] your text [ /code ]
Do that but remove the spaces. I added those so that it would show up here as text so you could see it. It will make your post more legible.

In your copy group in management class MIMNEAR_MGMT_CLASS, set your "VERExists" to 1.
Just FYI, you don't need SNAPSHOTPROVIDERIMAGE=VSS in your INCLUDE.IMAGE lines because you have SNAPSHOTPROVIDERIMAGE VSS already established.Last edited by GregE; 04-11-2012 at 05:22 PM.
