How about backup database to tape

Dear all,
I use TSM 6.3. I need backup database to tape.
I don't know, many version backup database can put into one tape.
How I can set backup database expried. I want backup new version backup database to tape, that have old version backup database.

You can only have one DB backup on each tape.

To delete all db backups quickly, type this

del volhist t=dbb todate=-1

This will delete all backups except the ones made within the last 24 hours.

I have only 3 tape to backup.
I can set schedule for backup. But i don't know how to auto delete old version and backup new version to tape.
Can you help me.

Set up an admin schedule to run the following cmd:

del volhist t=dbb todate=-X
Where X is the number of days that you want to keep the backup

Hello Everyone,
I had installed TSM 5.5 on Linux server the dsmserv is running but i don't know how to create a devclass and take a back up from the client system can anyone kindly help me out.

I would also like to know how to find out whether it is a client TSM or server TSM installed on the machine through command line of windows and Linux.
