LAN-Free Restoration is not working with TCP/IP Protocol
Hello,
I have tsm storage agent and tsm client on same machine(aix). below are my storage agent and client files.
dsm.sys :
SErvername prdeoddb1_flash
COMMMethod TCPip
TCPPort 1500
TCPServeraddress 10.150.11.34
Nodename PRDEODDB1-FLASH
errorlogname /tmp/dsmerror.log
schedmode polling
schedlogname /tmp/dsmsched.log
schedlogretention 30 D
passwordaccess generate
MANAGEDSERVICES WEBCLIENT SCHEDULE
Enablelanfree yes
lanfreecommmethod tcpip
resourceutilization 1
LANFREETCPSERVERADDRESS 127.0.0.1
dsmsta.opt :
COMMmethod TCPIP
COMMmethod SHAREDMEM
DEVCONFIG devconfig.txt
SERVERNAME DMTSM_SERVER1
CommTimeOut 600
IdleTimeOut 15
when i start the storage agent i got the below messages
ANR8285I Shared Memory driver ready for connection with clients on port 1510
ANR8200I TCP/IP Version 4 driver ready for connection with clients on port 1500.
The backup is going through lan-free path. but the restoration is not working with lan-free please suggest.
when i change the communication method in the tsm client to the "sharedmemory" the backup is going in the lan-free path.
why this is happening ? what is the underlying concept in this ?
Please suggest.
