Restoring TDPSQL from a dead machine.
Hi guys, greetings. I'm with a serious issue: My SQL Server machine is totally down. We had it virtualized and the files are now corrupted. Looking thru the Internet, I found that I can rename the node of another server with the TSM installed on it. That's OK for me, but also said that I must have in the target machine, the same version of SQL Server installed on it with the same patches, or it won't work. My question is, is this information absolutely true? For example, if I have the same SQL Server version, but don't have all the patches, it is going to work or not?
Thanks a lot and have a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year =)

Newer SQL and newer TSM for databases will work.
