Help with configurationof RMAN backup
Hi all,
I was hoping that someone might provide a bit of guidance regarding the configuration of an RMAN backup via NetWorker.
Whenever backups of instance are attempted, the job itself starts eventually times out and fails with:
"find: /tmp/rman.ksh.work: Permission denied
/opt/mks/rman/rman.ksh[77]: /var/opt/mks/rman/log/SIDM/Thu/rman.log: cannot create [Permission denied]"
The backup command is nsr_rman oracle_sid=SIDM script=level0hot.rmn.
RMAN backups invoked from within Oracle, outside NetWorker, work fine. We just can't seem to get these to work.
The rman and oracle users have also been added to the remote access field as well.
Connectivity appears to be working, non-Oracle filesystem backups work fine.
The only difference that I could see is that the Oracle person named the command file "nsr_rman_SIDM", rather than our default standard nsr_rman, but as long as the backup command is pointing to the right command file, this shouldn't make any difference - no?
Any idea in which logs I can check? I'm more familiar with NetBackup, NetWorker seems to be a bit light in the logging department?
Thanks!

Check permissions of files - scripts and logs. Change to 777 and try again.
