Loading TSM Client 6.2 stuck at 80%

Hi to all expert here,

I need some guidance and I'm a newbie to TSM world. I have TSM server installed on AIX machine and I have installed TSM client v6.2 on Windows platform. Whenever I launch the BA Client GUI, the loading stuck at 80% (Creating new session). Can someone guide me how to resolve this?

Also, does server and client have to be same version? According to my previous colleague, he said it doesn't matter and it "should" work. What is the command to check TSM server version on AIX?

*Note, I have zero knowledge about Linux and Unix commands but am learning as I explore.

enter the command: lslpp -l *tsm*

and search for ' tivoli.tsm.server 6.2.3.0 COMMITTED TSM Server'

Edit the dsm.opt file and change the TCPSERVERADDRESS <IP Address of the new server>
save the file and try launching again.
Worked for me.
