    Smile VTL configuration in TSM

    Hello,
    How to configure a VTL in TSM 6.2?
    Do I need TSM for SAN to acheive it?

    Which storage solution?
    Once the vendor SAN has been configured you should be able to define the VTL as you would any library/drives.

    i'm working with an EMC VNX 5300 VTL, which information related to the VTL are needed to configure it with TSM?

    Hello,

    as far as I know EMC VNX 5300 is not a VTL, it is an unified storage box ... so if you have it as a VTL it is very likely you have a DataDomain box in front of it.
    If it is so then you should see this document from EMC
    http://www.datadomain.com/docs/emc/h...-domain-wp.pdf

    In other case ... ignore this
