Default ANR4529I An automatic full or incremental database backup will be started

Hi all, every once in a while (maybe once every 3 months or so) I get this message:
ANR4529I An automatic full or incremental database backup will be started. The active log space used is 14511.94 megabytes, and the active log space available is 1792.06 megabytes. The ratio, 0.89, exceeds the threshold 0.80.
I'm trying to figure out why. I'm guessing its because there was alot of database activity since the last db backup? I do a db backup every day. My daily schedules, jobs, etc dont change much from day to day. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Anything I can do?
    Thanks.

The only concern would be the size of your logs... Post the output of 'Q LOG F=D"

You TSM server has an automatic database backup trigger 'Q DBB' and if your logs usage exceed the parameters set, a backup will occur.

I would be concern about size of your LOGS right now... It appears you have your logs set to the maximum allowed amount which will cause you to grow some gray hairs if your ever fill those up.

    Q LOG F=D

    Total Space(MB) : 16,384
    Used Space(MB) : 184
    Free Space(MB) : 16,120
    Active Log Directory : H:\tsm\log
    Archive Log Directory : U:\tsm\archlog
    Mirror Log Directory :
Archive Failover Log Directory : s:\archfailover
Also, on the TSM server it has 2 LOG drive letters. I was watching both. One stayed constant at 195GB freeThe other slowly went down from 130 GB to 121 GB and is now its back up to 188GB free. A full DBBackup has run since the incremental finished.

You might check the activity log and see what is running at the time the logs got full but it appears that your spacetrigger is working correctly. It appears to be set at 80% and the log exceeded that and hence the backup. Is your trigger set to do incrementals between fulls?

It must be. How do I tell? Also, looking back it looks like 2 incrementals kicked in. One at 5:39 am and one at 7:46 am. So whats going on to generate all those log entries?

What is occurring for the (half-hour/ hour) before the DB Backups? That may give you a clue.
