Client Backup Not Working

I have a client that is not backing up. I have checked the logs and they do not provide me with any informative information as to why the backup is failing. I would appreciate any help on this. The schedule stops and starts about 10 times but nothing ever gets backed up. I have gone thru the forum but I did not find any information to give me a good place to start looking for the problem.

Hi,

So what is in client dsmerror.log and dsmsched.log? Or whatever you have named error and scheduler logs.
You should start looking those files for problem solving

error log shows this about 100 times....

For warning, you should check:

And you have Client Acceptor to manage schedules? It will do this, scheduler servicewill not be up whole time, acceptor will start it 07/01/2011 21:35:00
Queryschedperiod is 6 hours and Schedmode polling? So client will contact server every 6 hours to check if there is any updates for schedules.

So with these logs, your scheduler is working and you have configured to use client acceptor.

Hi,

It's a warning, not error. So backup will continue. Updating client time to time is a good maintenance

For schedule, your scheduled task will start 07/01/2011. So you will get information how it works after that.

I am getting an ANS1809W error. It is trying to backup the files but keeps dropping the connection. I have looked at the connection to the network and it seems ok. The only thing I am seeing in the system log on the server is this,
The Volume Shadow Copy service entered the stopped state.
I do not see anything in the application log...

But the manual backup is done normally.
