Backup of CFO luns fails on FAS 3070 filer during failover

Hi,

I have two FAS 3070 filer with infiband connectivity between two filer. I have created volume vol1 on filer 1 and copied some data to that volume.
I have enabled CF on both the filer. And I ran "CF failover" command from filer 2. Filer 1 goes for gracefull shutdown. I am able to see the volume status of filer 1 by giving following command
filer 2> cf failover
filer 2 (takeover)* > partner
filer1/filer 2> vol staus vol1

Now when I am trying to take a backup of vol1 through NBU, its giving me below error.

And also, I am not able to ping the filer1 ip after takeover is done. Whether the ip of filer 1 will be still pingable after takeover and filer 1 has gone for gracefull shutdown using "cf takeover" command.

Please let me know, if i need to give some more info on any side...

Hi,

1st - I moved your post from TSM forum to NetBackup forum
2nd - if you cannot ping the filer1 IP after it is taken over by filer2, then your filer network settings is wrong. In the /etc/rc file (on both filers) check for lines "ifconfig ....." - at the end there should be "partner XYZ" where XYZ is the name of the partner interface (or IP) this interface should take over after "cf takeover" command

Can you show us your /etc/rc files?
