The tsm server is installed on AIX i use dsmserv to monitor tsm activity

every time when i try to start dsmserv i found the below error

tsm#[/usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin]dsmserv
ANR7804I Unable to open adsmserv.lock -Cannot open or remove a file containing a running program.

not to start the dsmserv i use ps -ef |grep dsmserv
and kill the process then i start dsmserv

please tell me how to start dsmserv without killing the process and i also want ot start the dsmserv from the root so that i dont goto the complete path of tsmserver???

I have to see the real time activity logs of TSM using dsmserv
