    Question DB2 backup fails but db2adutl works

    Hi all,

    I am in the process of setting upp a new DB2 backup with tsm.

    I hav done a db2 set cfg... to set password and nodename and restarted db2.

    Then I enter
    DSMI_DIR=/opt/ti.. dscj*.txt
    DSMI_CONFIG=/opt/ti../ where dsm.sys is
    DSMI_LOG=/var/log/backup/

    As I wrote in the title I can get db2adutl to work no problem,
    but backup db xxx online use tsm doe not work it fails with
    SQL2033N and error code 610.

    Do I have to set the DSMI variables in the profile for db2inst1 user and the restart DB2?
    This is on a Linux box (suse enterprise)
