IBM Tivoli Storage Manager

- A minimum of 4 years experience as a Subject Matter Expert Level in supporting TSM infrastructure

- In depth experience of deploying TSM servers from proof of concept stage

- Advantageous skills: TSM LAN-Free backup experience, Solaris & SAN skills

Provide technical support, guidance and direction for the products supported. To lead infrastructure review and develop recommendations for client and internal management teams. Audit protocols across Backup and Recovery environments to ensure the organisation proactively maintains the integrity of backup and recovery activities. Represent within internal and external forums including, on occasions, client facing consulting. Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability. Install, upgrade and maintain backup solutions. Analyse and resolve escalated problems. Work with change and problem management tools 24x7 support. Ensure that customer satisfaction levels are met and exceeded. The individual will have extensive experience in Storage Management specialising in TSM on both the Linux and Windows environments and the ability to communicate and translate in depth technical detail into easy to understand layman terminology.

The role can be based anywhere in NZ.

This company have multiple customers currently using their TSM services in New Zealand. The environment is very complex, hence their requirement is for a specialist and not a standard administrator. The size of each customer varies but TSM as a whole would be very large compared to an in-sourced setup.
