Please suggest appropriate DLT drive:-

The Quantum SDLT320 backup is a standalone drive that can only utilize one tape at a time.
Daily (Incremental) – 70GB
Weekly – 500 GB
Monthly – 700 GB
Software is Veritas Backup Exec 9.1.
We require only file system backups. There is no requirement to do any kind of online database backups.

Please suggest what Backup drive we can use so that we can read the existing tapes & also new DLT tapes can used ( which will ensure that media is available for next 2-3 years).

Please put your post in the correct forum (this area is for issues with TSM backups) and start your own post rather than posting in somebody elses. (This is just a suggestion to help you get the support you want, its not like I'm an admin or anything)

Backup Exec 9.1 in unsupported today and if you will have issues with it Symantec(Veritas) cannot helps.
As I know tapes writen on BE 10.D can be readed in BE 12.5, may be it will work with BE 9.1.
So, test old tapes on new version of BE, and use DLT-4S - this drive can read tapes writen on SDLT320
