TSM Server 6.1.2 released
TSM Server 6.1.2 was released yesterday:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docvie...=utf-8&lang=en
http://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/...1/WIN/6.1.2.0/
I'm still sitting on 5.5.0.0... It's been a good release for us, but I'm starting to get itchy feet for an upgrade! I'm also thinking about the dedupe features in 6.1.TSM Server 5.5.0.0

Kramer = Dedup will only be interesting if you have an diskpool in file devclass... No dedup is supported with Tape classe, like LTO or on a VTL.. But on the bright side..
Backup set and Table of Contents support in Tivoli Storage Manager Version 6.1 = Finaly!

Does anyone know if TOC was fixed in this release? That is the only thing that is holding us up from upgrading to 6.

We have only run into a few issues with 5.5.0:
- SAN discovery not supported & causing BSOD on Win x64 Servers and Storage Agents (disabled SANdiscovery as workaround)
- Missing info in tsmdlst
- Stgpool backups failing claiming they are already active (only after 50+ days uptime, so we usually have a security patch every month - thanks to Microsoft)
Yeah, so I probably should look at 5.5.3 - it will be much, much easier than upgrading to 6.1.xTSM Server 5.5.0.0
