dsmadmc.exe & "Your password has expired"
I´ve a "big" problem, when i run the administrative command line (dsmadmc.exe), appears a message saying "Your password has expired", and ask me for a new one.
But after typed, the windows closes and If i launch again dsmadmc.exe, i´ve the same situation.
So, how can i fix these?, and prevent to happen again?
Thanks in advance....

just follow the simple procedure ;
Start > Run > type cmd and click run...
cd "c:\program files\tivoli\tsm\baclient"
dsmadmc and just type new password and you'll see what happens on there...destruction is not negative! you must destroy to build...

I run the dsmadmc.exe in the same server where tsm is installled.

check the dsm.opt file on this directory and make sure tcpserveraddress pointed your tsm server... and make sure windows firewall disabled (or allowed traffic from tcp 1500)

use:
for starting dsmadmc and check your dsm.opt or useC:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient
dsmadmc -tcps=[your servername]

if you run tsm server on the foreground first you need to stop tsm server service from windows services or tsm management console... if you cannot access the tsm server via admin commandline interface you cannot be sure what's going on tsm... if you stop the service it might interrupt a process or a session.. just be careful if you choose this way...

I think if you start dsmadmc from the tsmdiag folder it will use the wrong dsm.opt file! Look in your \baclient folder.

I have installed TSM 6.4 on Windows 2008 64 bit edition . On starting dsmadmc through command prompt the password is expired and not able to login.
I am not seeing dsmadmc in C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient
So I am not in position to update the password.
From C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\server\tsmdiag>dsmadmc.exe if I start and try to update the password it is not getting updated.
Please suggest me.
