incremental vs full
Can anyone give any recommendation regarding the number of incremental vs number of full backups for Exchange? I'm considering the following setups:
full weekly: 1 Full + 6 Incr
full biweekly: 1 Full + 13 Incr
full monthly: 1 Full + 27-30 Incr
For sake of simplicity, assume all data is stored on disk on TSM server...
Regards,
Oskar

Hi,
it depends on expected recovery time. I am not sure if there is any limitation in Exchange so you cannot take more than (BIG NUMBER) incrementals, but when restoring, you allways need the last full and then you need to restore AND APPLY all logs. It can be really time consuming task. So check your SLAs for answer.
