Opinion on TDP schedules
I have recently inherited an SQL server 8x Win 2003R2 with 29 TDP services running as every database is defined as a node. Each service is using 12 mb (more or less) to run.
When running the TDP GUI a backup can be run on the whole server in under 10 minutes.
Would it have made more sense to have had just one schedule ie: this SQL server would be one node and not 30.
Can anybody weigh in on this?
We plan to deprecate this server in the future and I was wondering which is the better configuration method and why.
Thanks in advance,
