Deleting old prepare files
Hi There,
I have lots of prepare files accumulating. I have run the command
//keep last 4 days
del volhist type=rpf todate=today-4
It doesn't appear to delete these old prepare files. How is this achieved ? Do I manually have to delete them or is there another command to run /
thanks in Advance
Larry

If they are stored locally, you have to manually delete them, TSM will not automatically delete them.

Wht is the retention for DR PLAN file set in DRMSTATUS ..Since TSM follows this retention for expiring the dr preapre files.By default it is set to 60 days hope you can chnage that and try runninga expiration process which would clear the old files.
#set drmrpfexpiredays <days>

It is set to 5 days. When you say expire you mean the "expire" command, becuase that runs everyday. I was thinking this drmrpfexpiredays parameter means it can't be used after that period of time rather than delete at the OS like DBS DBB.
