Backup compacted and secure databases

Hello,

When i try to backup domino databases, two errors appear :

CASE 1 : Maybe this one is encrypted ?

ACD5450E A failure occurred on TSM server session number (0), rc = 416
This database has local access protection and you are not authorized to access it.
Backup of BDNREP\refSec.nsf failed.

CASE 2 : And for this one, maybe it is compressed ?

ACD5450E A failure occurred on TSM server session number (0), rc = 416
Cannot backup a database while it is being compacted.
Backup of admin4.nsf failed.

anybody knows how to backup even if the files are compacted and protected ?

Hi, have the same issue but TDP Domino 6.3 + TSM server 6.3

I have not personally run into this issue myself but it would seem that a backup is being attempted at the same time that Domino is performing a compaction process on it's databases. You should just reschedule the backup to a time that does not overlap this Domino administrative task. Or you can have that compaction admin task trigger a domdsmc backup upon completion.
