VSS Event ID: 12290 warning
Hi,
When i try a systemstate incremental backup, the application event log records multiples warning events:

Oracle 10gr2 is installed on server, using raw device. There are one "event log warning" for each raw disk.

Yes, backup completes correctly; but It worries me that VSS could corrupt any raw disk trying to do volume shadow.

VSS is not very good in dealing with RAW disk. I don't think there is an option in MS to turn this off.

I wan't VSS. VSS is DISABLED in server. TSM uses it, I don't.
It's a Client's TSM BUG?

VSS is not part of TSM but of Windows 2003. Any backup system that Microsoft sees as installed will link VSS with it.
