Exchange 2003 directed restore
Hi Guys,
I am assisting in setting up a directed restore for DR reason for an Exchange server. In the admin guide there is the following passage:
To replicate an Exchange database on the recovery server, the following conditions
must be met:
1. The recovery server must be in a different Active Directory forest than the
original Exchange server.
My question is:
If we are using RSG to recover our DB to on the DR exchange server why does it have to be in a different Active Directory forest than the
original Exchange server?
Thanks
2dam
