LTO4 drive-timeout failure during scsi inquiry command
Hi everyone, im having troubles with a single lto-4 drive.
Ive installed it with a U160 and U320 SCSI card and when the server starts i get the following messagne "timeout failure during scsi inquiry command" and nothing happens with the drive, just dont want to work.
Ive also changed the scsi cable, the WRAP TOOL, the SCSI ID.
The server has windows 2003 server SP2 and TSM server 5.4.1.2.
This problem is happening in two diferent servers.
Does anyone knows what can be happening here?
Best regards,
vicente

That error coming from Windows, or from the TSM Server?
Try to see if you can access it on an o/s level first.
- Make sure RSM is disabled.
- Use Tapeutil to query the device
This will help you isolate where to focus troubleshooting. Need to be able to access at the o/s level, then proceed with TSM.

Ive figured out the problem, it cant be 2 terminators on the same system, the server has one terminator for the disk array, when i took off the drive windows recognized it.
Thanks
