Tape Status

How do I get the following tape out of the TSM database?

Destroyed State
A00260 INCR_T Filling


Also, I have some (VTL) tapes that are issuing the following results:

03/12/08 16:33:08 ANR8455E Volume V00166 could not be located during audit
of library VTLLIB1. Volume has been removed from the
library inventory. (SESSION: 3353272, PROCESS: 3892)

How do I correct this?

I think you can just delete that tape from the stgpool...did you try that?

For VTL tape, I would check the status of that tape in tsm with command...q libvol. If tsm cant find that tape in the library...that could be checked out logically. Try checkin that tape with status=private if it is not scratch.

With the VTL tapes, I do not wish for them to be part of TSM anymore.

The other tape is a bad tape that we just restored, so we do not wish for it to be referenced in TSM anymore either
