TDP for SQL erroring out?
The TDP ran fine yesterday but when I come in today it is erroring out on a 402 error.
The following is what I am getting from the client machine.
3041 :
BACKUP failed to complete the command USE master BACKUP DATABASE [2006_07vtrans_rts] TO VIRTUAL_DEVICE=N'TDPSQL-000011A4-0000' WITH BLOCKSIZE=512, MAXTRANSFERSIZE=1048576, NAME=N'full', DESCRIPTION=N'TDPSQL-000011A4-0000 (TDP MS SQL V2)'
18210 :
BackupVirtualDeviceFile::RequestDurableMedia: Flush failure on backup device 'TDPSQL-000011A4-0000'. Operating system error 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.).
The ones the server itself gives are -
TSM Client Error: Server: PWSDTSM01 Source: PWSDTSM01 Node: LUCIUS_SQL Session Id: 1063 ANE4993E TDP MSSQL Win32 ACO3002 Data Protection for SQL: full backup of database 2006_07vtrans_rts from server LUCIUS failed, rc = 1301.
TSM Client Error: Server: PWSDTSM01 Source: PWSDTSM01 Node: LUCIUS_SQL Session Id: 1063 ANE4993E TDP MSSQL Win32 ACO3002 Data Protection for SQL: full backup of database master from server LUCIUS failed, rc = 1301.
etc...
Anyone seen this? we restarted the SQL server and I am going to restart the TSM server and try it again. It has done it one 3 attempts in a row, it seems to pull the data when I watch the console, it just gives errors after the fact.
The regular TSM client backs up just fine off of this machine and every other machine we are pulling from right now. THat being about 8 other machines.
Edit: Oops, I put this in the wrong place, my apologies.

hi,
i also encountered the 402 error, it must be the network connection error, though it back up most of the databases but there where some skipped.
check the logs files then try to manually back up the skipped databases.

I will give that a try, I noticed it seemed to miss the same ones every time. I cant see any reason for that as its sitting on a gigabit network plugged into the same Switch as the TSM server.
The 402 when I looked it up referenced Media Corruption, but it didnt say what media or where it was corrupted.
