You should be aware that for a backup TSM wants tapes with the status Filling. So you will have to update those volumes to status unavailable.

Restoring a backupset is done via the tsm client.

If you do a "backup stg Primary_tape_pool copy_tape_pool" after your migration has finished you can see if it still has to backup something (it should not) .... and now you certainly are consistent.

Look in the actlog if it gives session rejected.
You can do an "update node <newpassword>" to set the password.
