*** Update ***
The APAR has now been closed as a documentation error, with a workaround to allow the pre-req skip (as per the above):

** Update **
IBM has now raised APAR 99197 to address this issue:
IC99197: DBYPASS_TSM_REQ_CHECKS=TRUE OPTION FOR V7.1 DOESN'T ALLOW INSTALL TO COMPLETE IF A PREREQUISITE IS NOT MET >>...
So, we've been working through this here and have found a couple of things that work for us, allowing us to skip the TSM 7.1 installation prerequisite check for 12 GB RAM (useful for...
The confusion here would appear to be that the IBM documentation does very clearly state that the prerequisite check can be bypassed (on test servers only) using the flag.
I'll chase this up and...
Hello @Alexandre and @DArKer - did you get any further bypassing the 12 GB RAM installation restriction?

What @moon-buddy says and also I'd suggest running the 'tdpoconf showenv' utility to check that the TSM side of the TDPO configuration is all still setup correctly.
A common gotcha: check that...
Might be worth taking a look at this thread from somebody with a similar issue >> http://adsm.org/forum/showthread.php?9421-Domino-TDP-doesn-t-deactivate-txn-files
It's been a while since I've done SAN Storage Agent stuff on Solaris but when I did it was the *stcbn flavour of special device files that we used.
That is not my experience. Consider the following:
Primary stgpool 1 = BACKUPPOOL
Primary stgpool 2 = ARCHIVEPOOL
Copy stgpool 1 = COPYPOOL
I can perform:

@Harry's right about the library issue, although it seems you certainly do have a licensing issue with your TSM Server as well - have you installed the TSM licensing package on this system?
Does SELECT * FROM SYSCAT.TABLES help you on the way to what you're looking for?
You may also consider investigating what we call a 'Backupset', previously known in the product as an 'Instant Archive'.

And what is the error reported on the client from its dsmerror.log?
An idea (and I'm sure there might be a nicer way as well), but if this is only an ad-hoc query have you considered performing the query from/as the client instead?
I take it you exported the node's data to a tape volume rather than directly to the new server over the network (i.e., TOSERVER)?
In which case, next you'll need to check in the...
Ok, this suggests to me that the TSM Server Activity Log covering this period would be the next place to check and see if there are any corresponding errors there. The causes of the 'Server media...

FWIW, you sure can deactivate TDP for SQL Server backups both from the GUI and from the CLI using the INACTIVATE command.

What is the NAS filer providing the share? If it happens to be a NetApp/N-Series then a feature such as SnapDiff might be just what you're looking for:
Did you ever get a response or figure this out? I'm investigating the same thing at the moment.
Deletion of NAS backups is possible, supported and documented at the filespace...

Hi @Harry_Redl and @obiwan2,
Sorry, I've been offline for a while and only just seen this - I think you've pretty much summed up the technical side of FastBack; FastBack is essentially a...
Did you get any success with this in the end? Constructing a fastbackshell.exe command can be a little fiddly at times and the error messages are less than helpful but I do have a...
@suresh2250 Are you asking about Fastback here or the core TSM product (this being posted in the FastBack forum)?

I'm having some trouble installing TSM Server 188.8.131.52 onto an RHEL (2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64 - from uname) system. Running the TSM Server's install.bin installation script as root all I...

Nice one Chad. I'd like to see "tape library/drive/media issues" in there too - certainly the box-ticker for one of my customers at the moment.
Once again, IBM seems to have sneaked another release of FastBack under the door. Seriously, am I missing something, or is IBM just not so great at communicating this stuff to its customers any more?...

Hmn, that's a puzzler - the login works fine on the systems here. I'm stumped now I'm afraid - anybody else have any pointers for m@tteo?
