There is this for simply checking incomplete images.
nbstlutil list -l -image_incomplete
Or if you wanted a scripted version with more complete results try this:
Is there a simple command line to create a text file to display all the NBU clients known to the master and their current client code level?
Thanks in advance,
The inline function creates two copies on tape (or to any storage unit)
This is helpful if you have a retention policy where one copy is kept onsite and one goes off to Iron Mountain (vault)
How big is your catalog?
Do you use catalog archiving?
How long does the backup take and are you using inline backups?

Coming from a Galaxy 8 and Simpana 9 shop and having a good background with TSM and now NBU becoming my flavor of the day I will say this regarding this thread.
I think the scale-ability comes...
Bocada, Aptare, maybe even OpsCenter with Analytics.
The TSM position has been filled but we still need a rockstar NBU engineer in Phoenix.
Please send me a PM or email at etchingsj(at)gmail.
Anybody know a good Netbackup resource on the market?
PM me and I will forward my cell phone.
This position is both for Las Vegas and Phoenix.
I should clarify these positions are FTE and require the resource to be local or be willing to relocate. I think for the right resource the LV job may offer some assistance but not VISA assistance.
I know of two new TSM openings.
One is for a TSM architect in Las Vegas workiing in Gaming/Hospitality.
The other is for a TSM Administrator in Phoenix working in HealthCare.
Is there a method to examine the occupancy of tapes written by NBU?
I was looking to determine % free on LTO4 media when a volume was marked FULL.
TSM can sometimes eat up tapes by marking them...

You can also search for media that is marked full and only has 60% occupancy.
SELECT 'MARKER', volume_name stgpool_name,pct_utilized from volumes
WHERE PCT_UTILIZED < 10
You need to head to my.datadomain.com which may redirect you to https://powerlink.emc.com/ ( I know EMC is switching over)
Either way you need a valid product serial to get DD manuals etc.
What version of TSM?
Are the volumes accessible to TSM?
Meaning in the library? Is collocation set?
Update them to readw and try a move data.
There is a sample test on the IBM website with the answers.

The query just seems to hang after execution.
Is there a way to confirm what the server is doing during this process?
Seems like the resource utilization is within normal limits.

Ok, after we added the additional quotes around the file name the query just hangs forever.

And yes I tried today and it did not work.
One of the items that may be the root cause or a contributing factor may have been the mismatching of the resourceutilization and maxnummp values.
If the MAXNUMMP was set to “1”, and the...

I believe the grey cross means there is only an archive copy of the file and you would need to retrieve it.
We don't use the client GUI often.
Are you doing a "point in time" restore?
Is there a client for the following operating system for TSM?

Anyone ever heard of this?
It is a TeraData Gateway.
