"q clopt" from the TSM server console

To find the columns in a table you can run this select:

select * from syscat.columns where tabname='<table_name>' order by colno

eg: select * from syscat.columns where tabname='FILESPACES'...

q event * * node=<nodename> begint=-24:00

That will show the success or otherwise of any backup operation in the last 24 hours for the node you specify.

"help q event" will show you more...

There could be a session (backup or restore) using that tape rather than a process - do a 'q sess' on that server to see if anything is running.
