Thanks, I caught the reason they were going straight to tape, even though I had them going to disk. I had a max file size of 50 GB, on my disk pools.

Question: Do Oracle TDP (RMAN) backups go always straight to tape?

Question: Is it possible to change retention of an archive without having to re-run?
I ran an archive for files that are not longer available. I ran it using a 365 days retention, but now the user needs it to be for 7 years. Is it possible to just re-bind the archive?

Finally was able to find why reclamation was...
Finally was able to find why reclamation was running even when the Admin schedules were not active. Previous TSM admin had put an entry on his migration script to start reclamation right after it.

Thanks guys, I will change the schedules to the 2 days that I need, and add the STOP_RECLAIM_TAPEPOOL and STOP_RECLAIM_COPYPOOL to up the threshold to 100%.

No, I want to run it, via schedule, instead of automatically. I am running TSM v5.5.2-0 on Linux SLES9 SP3. I set the schedule to run on Tuedays and Thursdays, but it is still running daily.

tdp: once:/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmc schedule 2>/dev/null
Try using something shorter, like 'tdp' or 'dom' -
