We have TSM backing up GPFS filesystems. If the GPFS filesystem becomes unavailable (ie: umount or GPFS shutdown) while a scheduled backup is running, TSM expires the files from the backup.

If a permission changes on an existing file, will the content of the file will be backed up again? Not sure if it matters, but the filesystem is GPFS.

Sorry, just so that I am 100% certain:
if /lb/projects/projectA/file is migrated, and then it is moved to /lb/projects/projectB/file
Then the next sceduled backup will recall ...
