Hi all, here you can find TSM clients for Debian 1) DEBIAN TSM CLIENT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY IBM - THEREFORE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK 2) clients were created by unpacking rpm packages, modifying startup scripts and packing things up using dpkg-deb if request is made, I will upload step-by-step HOWTO 3) you have to use set up your dsm.sys and dsm.opt files 4) I am learning with every version, so newer version is usualy better (give more info during installation, enviroment variables are set more properly etc.) 5) clients were tested on woody and sarge for woody you need libstdc++5 - add following line to /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://www.fs.tum.de/~bunk/debian woody/bunk-2 main contrib and run apt-get install libstdc++5 BEWARE - INSTALLS GCC 3.3 !!!! 6) never tested webclient ..... no need in our environment 7) 5.3.4 is ready .... almost the same scripts as before (just cleaned up) - NO HSM INCLUDED (anyone uses that?) 8) 5.3.4.3 is ready - removed listdc++-glibc dependency - seems not needed and causing problems base tests (backup, restore, dsmadmc) done on Woody (packages mentioned above installed), Sarge and Ubuntu 6.06 9) 5.3.4.3_fix1 is ready - there was a bug in previous release (missing last letter when creating links ..
